Architecture and Interior Design

The exposition
is a synopsis of 250 years of architectural history. It shows work
both by students and teachers of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Ghent.
The exposition consists of two parts. The first part (1751-1960)
is presented in the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design. You can
see the history of the architecture department from it's early start
until after World War II. There is work by Victor Horta, Lodewijk
Roelandt, Albert Van huffel, Gaston Eysselinck... The second part
(1961-2001) is to see in the Caermers Monastery. Thirty-eight contemporary
architects have been chosen. They have made a selection from their
own projects.
